Apple has accused the company Eastman Kodak of illegally using patented technologies. The statement of claim was filed in U.S. District Court Northern District of California on April 15, reports Patently Apple. Two patents allegedly infringed Kodak, concerning the use of memory architecture for the digital camera and digital image processing. Apple believes that the illegal use of technology has enabled Kodak to get substantial profits from selling the devices.
Apple has a list of devices that use its technology. It includes cameras from lines EasyShare Z, M and P Series, as well as some camcorders Zi6, Zi8 and PlaySport. On assurances Apple, patent infringement has caused irreparable damage to the company. Precise estimates of losses Apple will be determined at trial.
